A Journey Through History

Historic Letters brings history, science and revolutions through your letterbox taking you or someone else on a journey through history in periods such as the enlightenment, the American Revolution, the Victorian Era and more. Each letter comes in a wax sealed envelope with an old letter brought back to life with another page that sets the scene.

Words from history

Letters are carefully brought back to life with every detail to experience how it would feel to get a letter dating back as far as the 1600s. The art of the letters, texture, ink and small writing errors are remade as they once were.

Setting the scene

Inside each letter you will find a page that tells you all about the letter and the author. Containing a description, timeline, visuals and a transcript to help guide you through the context behind the letter’s historical events.

Traditional post

The letters are packed in a textured envelope with your recipient’s details printed in a typewriter font. Sealed with red wax that holds all the contents inside the letter while keeping a letter that stands out in the post.

How it Works

  1. Choose a Collection

You can choose either a 6 or 3 week collection of historic letters. If you are ordering as a gift, you can choose to have a digital gift letter emailed to you for your recipient when adding a collection to your basket.

2. Letters are Prepared

Every letter is presented in a linen envelope with a red wax seal that stands out in the post. The letters are prepared and sent on your chosen start date.

3. Posting Done Weekly

After you choose when the first letter is to be sent, your historic letters will be sent weekly with postage included. Letters are sent in order of the year written starting with the earliest.
